He is recorded as designing the cowhouse there for George Smith in 1783 but is also known to have executed other plans for the Hall. Soane rebuilt Sulby Hall, in Northamptonshire, for René Payne in 1792-5. It was extensively remodelled in the early 1830s and demolished circa 1953.
