I replaced the brake pad clip, I purchased through Autozone and I believe the set was like 12.00 for the front. I also replaced the rotors in the front this was at 185K miles. For the rear I have not had to change the pads myself. BMW last did the rear pads at about 85K miles under the service agreement. WebE30 Rear Brake Removal Pop the caliper clip off. Take the dust cover off and use a 7mm hex to un-bolt the caliper from the carrier. Zip tie the caliper out of the way as to not leak fluid everywhere just yet.
