WebJun 11, 2012 · About 2 months ago, I sparked a CEL light, P0453 was the code which is the evapatory fuel pressure system. I tightened the gas cap and reset the light, all was good for a few weeks then the light came back on again. I changed the fuel filter and did not reset the light, about a week later the light went off on its own. Typically, there are no symptoms associated with this code. The check engine light will illuminate (that’s why you’re here). The only thing that you may notice is the smell of fuel.
