There are a few mods that need to be done to the block itself like rerouting the coolent line so it doesn't leek. The longer stroke is the biggest limiting factor. Piston speeds are faster than they would be in a k20 at the same rpm. I’ve seen posts stating that there isn’t much power to be had past 8000 rpms anyways, especially on oem cams. Some have even said there isn’t any past 7500.

Webb23 maj 2010 · The casting and everything is the same, but the k24 head doesn't flow as well as the k20 series heads. The max flow for the k24 is like 27x cfm's and the k20 is like 3xx cfm's. The tsx head does have the same 3 lobe vtec though so that's good.
