WebHmm that’s weird that it only works at certain battery levels. Honestly you could probably get a new MagSafe cable on Amazon (if that’s easier than going to the Apple Store), see if the new cable works and just return the old one at Amazon saying it was defective. Just make sure on Amazon it’s through the Apple Store and not a reseller.
